2022 CLARISSE PROJECTS2022 was another year filled with awesome VFX made with Clarisse, including projects featured in some of the biggest films and TV series of the year. Shout out to the teams behind Uncharted, Jurassic World: Domination, Bullet Train and Rings of Power, all made with Clarisse. As well as to the very talented Clarisse artists continuing to keep us dazzled by their projects on ArtStation, including: Jianfeng (Allan) Li, Peter Jackson, and Masashi Imagawa. |

STUDIO CASE STUDIESLast year we went behind the scenes with more studios than ever before, including: DNEG, RodeoFX, Tippett Studio, Gulliver Studios and Ollin VFX, to learn how Clarisse was used as an integral part of the content creation and rendering pipeline on projects ranging from Oscar-winning feature films: Dune and Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, to fan favorite TV shows: Squid Game, Star Trek Discovery and Outer Range, as well as highly creative short form content like the Coldplay X Selena Gomez - Let Somebody Go music video. |

2022 TUTORIAL RELEASESWe released a number of new tutorials for Clarisse 5 last year, covering Basic Shading Variation for Scattering in Clarisse to show you how to use the Utility texture node to use data from Shading Groups and Scatterers to procedurally add shading variation. And Using the Snapper Tool in Clarisse, giving you a full breakdown on how Clarisse’s new particle paint feature allows you to snap your particles easily and quickly after retakes or after changes on your terrains and geometries. |
CLARISSE IFX 101 WORKSHOPSWe introduced our free and interactive Clarisse iFX 101 Workshops to you in 2022. Hosted by our Technical Artist Eric Smith, the 101 Workshops trained more than 200 Clarisse beginners how to build an entire CG SciFi scene from scratch, covering the basics of Scene Organization, Workflows, Layout, Lighting, Volumes and Rendering with AOV outputs. For those of you that joined us, we hope you’re enjoying creating masterpieces with Clarisse. |

SIGGRAPH 2022It was a joy to be back at SIGGRAPH 2022 in-person last year, where we gave a talk at AWSF’s Open Source Days about MaterialX integration in Clarisse & Angie, met with up and coming talent at the Job Fair and hosted demos of Clarisse & Angie on the AWS booth. |
NVIDIA GTC 2022We also continued with virtual industry events, attending Nvidia’s GPU Technology Conference, GTC 2022, where our Co-founder and CTO Sebastien Guichou joined industry leaders from Autodesk, OTOY, and Maxon, to discuss the future of GPU ray tracing. |

USER GROUPSWe returned with more personal, in-person events last year as well. Hosting our first Clarisse User Groups since 2020 in Los Angeles and Vancouver, where caught up with the local CG community to see some exclusive Clarisse user presentations, share the latest updates on Clarisse and Angie, hear from our partners, and share some special prize giveaways. It was great to finally catch up in-person with the community. |
ISOTROPIX LIVELast but not least, we hosted two Isotropix Live events in 2022 to share the hottest Clarisse news with you. Our May Live unveiled the Angie Early Access 2 release, all of its great new features, and a demo of the new lookdev workflow. We then rounded out the year with our December Live, covering a recap of the years Clarisse 5 and Angie releases, tips and tricks for set extensions, and a sneak peek of what’s to come for Angie. |
