The 13th Annual Rookie Awards is a creative media competition open to young creatives in visual effects, animation, games, virtual reality, motion graphics and 3D visualization. As sponsors of this year’s competition, we can’t wait to see so many artists showcase their talent and share their amazing work online.
Open to students, hobbyists and self-taught artists, the competition is designed to help aspiring professional artists launch their career. Whether working alone or as part of a team, contestants have five categories to inspire them, VFX and Concept Art both being subcategories of ‘Rookie of the Year’ and ‘Film of the Year’ for this year’s awards.

With a judging panel of industry masters, including Isotropix Technical Artist Eric Smith, the Rookie Awards is a great way to receive valuable feedback and recognition. For the chance to win the coveted title of ‘Rookie of the Year’, entrants must showcase their passion for the category they have entered and the hard work they have applied to hone their skills.
