What is Clarisse iFX PLE?

Clarisse iFX Personal Learning Edition (PLE) gives you the opportunity to learn and explore, for free, all aspects of Clarisse iFX for non-commercial purpose. Clarisse iFX PLE gives you access to all the features that are available in Clarisse iFX commercial version. Since Clarisse 3.6, you can now save up to 3 watermark-free renders (2560x1440 max) per 24 hours as long as you are using your renders for non-commercial purposes exclusively!

Frequently asked question about Clarisse iFX PLE

 

What does non-commercial use mean?
Clarisse PLE is for non-commercial use only, as stated in the software license agreement. This means that anyone using Clarisse PLE cannot create images and projects for any commercial business purposes. For any avoidance of doubt, providing training or instruction to third parties is also excluded.

What are Clarisse PLE watermark-free renders limitations?
The resolution of your renders is limited to 2560x1440 with a maximum of 3 saves per 24 hours for non-commercial use exclusively.

Is support available for Clarisse PLE?
No, but you can find help from Clarisse Community forum users. To get official support from Isotropix you will need to either purchase a commercial or an academic version.

Can I share my Clarisse PLE files with other Clarisse PLE users?
Yes.

Can the commercial version of Clarisse read files created by the PLE?
No. The commercial version of Clarisse cannot read Clarisse PLE files, as files created with the Clarisse PLE are for non-commercial use only. It is not possible to convert Clarisse PLE files to the commercial file format.

Can Clarisse PLE read files from the commercial version of Clarisse?
Yes. Clarisse PLE can read files from the commercial version of Clarisse.

Will Clarisse PLE get updated?
Yes, Clarisse PLE is based on the latest major version released to date.

Will I be able to convert Clarisse PLE files into regular Clarisse files?

Installation Instructions

Windows

  • Download latest Clarisse iFX Windows 64-bit Installer.
  • Launch the installer and follow the instructions.
  • To launch Clarisse, click on the Start button and choose Isotropix/Clarisse PLE
  • Have Fun!

macOS

  • Download latest Clarisse iFX macOS DMG archive.
  • To install Clarisse iFX, open the disk image and drag the Isotropix icon into your Applications folder.
  • Have Fun!

Linux

  • Download latest Clarisse iFX Linux binaries.
  • Extract the downloaded binaries archive anywhere you want.
  • Open a new terminal and cd to clarisse_ple directory.
  • To launch Clarisse, just type ./clarisse and press return.
  • Have Fun!
